Houseplant Repotting

Newly Purchased Plants From Phelan’s

If you are purchasing a NEW houseplant from Phelan’s, and would like to have it repotted before you check out, we will make every effort to accommodate you on a "while you wait" basis as staff is available. During busy times, we may have to ask you to bring your plant back another day. If possible, please ask our houseplant crew for this service before you check out as charges vary based on soil used and the time it takes to repot. It will save you two trips through the checkout line! 

We will sometimes advise you to wait to repot a new plant so it can acclimate or grow on in your environment. In these cases, your plant can stay in its grow pot and be staged in a decorative pot until upsizing makes sense.

Pre-Owned Plants

Want to bring in your pre-owned, pest free plants for repotting? Repotting services for pre-owned plants is only available on Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sundays.  Our greenhouse can get busy during certain times of the year.  So, please call ahead to ensure we can accommodate you that day.  Our staff is small and we want to make sure we can give you the attention you deserve. Tip:  If the weather is extremely hot or cold, make sure to protect your plant during transport.

Large Plants and In Home Visits

We don’t offer in-home visits, but we are happy to offer advice! Sometimes a quick conversation or pictures can help us help YOU! If your plant would be difficult to bring into Phelan’s for repotting due to size/type, we can suggest another local company for on-site visits.

Spring Containers

Found some annual flowers and foliage you love, but aren't sure quite how to arrange them? Need a container garden to decorate your patio, but don't have time to do it yourself?  Let us know your outdoor lighting conditions (sun or shade?) favorite colors, and any specific plant selections and we will plant up your containers for you.

If you need your planted container by a specific date, please be sure to give us enough lead time to prepare it for you.  Turnaround time is often 3-5 days during the busy Spring season.
